Wow weeee what a day. I discovered an article about how Google ranks your pages.Makes for interesting reading. And so I have set myself a bit of a challenge to run through all of the optmisations and track my page rank. I have even created a Google rank page outlining the project. I will build a line graph tomorow night (in flash of course) to add tracking to.
I also hope to do what Guy Watson demonstraighted at MXDU this year and have alternate pages/php page to give google access to the flash content. This will be interesting as well. Not really sure what brought on this interest with google lately but hey….
On another note I am considering joining the Blogathon and donating any money raised to cancer reasearch. Its kinda like the forty hour famin expect instead of not eating you blog every 15mins or so for a period of 24 hrs. Dont worry they ill have people watching. I am trying to get a hold of the local celular provider, and ask for a sponsorship in the form of free data to my phone for the 24 hrs, so I can blog from my mobile. I will keep you all posted on how this goesover the next few days. And if you feel like joining in grab a blog and start typing.
So I guess thats all for now folks…..and I know I know sorry about the lack of flash posts over the last week. I have been so busy. It seems the inductry as a whole is heating up and employers are finding it really hard to get experienced flash developers. Might be time to become a contractor for a few years
Just for laughs and giggles heres a pic of me after drinking and wearing silly cotumes
I have been hanging out for a pc in my car that I can make a UI in flash for. Can wait until this can connect through blue tooth to my celphone to access internet. (Man Im a geek). Well let the waiting stop:

In other news the domain (thats the .com bit of a web address) .mobi has been added to the register. This was pushed by Nokia Micro$oft and other major players. So stay tuned for www.xsive.mobi as I love making phone apps using flash. I run a modified flash 6 player on my phone that allows me to use AMFPHP to make calls smaller in byte size. Just working on a blog posting application. I also want to finish a Flickr app for browsing photos, but bandwidth aint cheap here in NZ on phones.
It has been pretty quiet in the flash world for a while. Beta work still ticking on I guess
. Seen some really amazing stuff coming out. I just want to do some more AMFPHP work but am finding it hard to get time. Im at work in .Net world all day then I come home and the last thing I really want is to power away infront of a computer. But Macrodmedia is asking for your feedback on what you would like to have in the getting started materials. I am guessing alot of people will want use of file uploading class. Or at least this would save alot of forums alot of headaches if the included this.

Final comment for the day, I can also see Flickr becoming the one stop shop for photos for people creating webadvertising without using royality free photos. So keep an eye out for your mug advertising viagra or something.
P.S. thanks to Josef (http://blog.daemon.com.au/) for spotting a bug with my flash stream of the weblog. Have fixed that one now
. (have just noticed the other problem of not masking out the other stories, me thinks I will have to do some paging of results)
Well after my post yesterday I thought I might do some more searching about Googles Operating system. There are hundreds of stories out there about google running 100,000 servers to power thier network, with networked memory sharing etc. This all points to a central super computer users can log onto and use. The article below points to some pretty hard core Os programmers having joined with google so somethings up. But as always you never know what tomorow may bring.

In other news the guys from as fusion have opened up an example application they did for trio motors. It looks like a neat bit of flash software. Click the service manager button:

Wow was reading through a blog post about making a user friendly windows to linux migrations tool and saw a comment about rumors of a google operating system based on linux:
“I’ve heard rumors about Google making one. They have SOOOOO much cash. They honestly easily could pour the money it would take to compete with MS Windows.
“GoogleOS”"
This sounds very interesting. Dont get me wrong, Im not a linux nut….or a windows defender. I love OSX (alhough I run on xp) So a google powered machine interests me as I have found all of googles other software apealing so far. Picasa, google world……
So this will be deifinately one to watch and only time will tell. Anyone else herd any rumors about this?
