Heck I dont know… maybe I was dropped on my head when I was young lol, or maybe I drank to much at University LMAO.
I recieved my xrays from the dentist the other day and thought I would share. From the picture above you can see my wisdom teeth on the bottom becoming "Impacted" into the other teeth. Aparently this is bad and I got an infection and some pain. The next week I was having them cut out. Interesting to note the surgeon said I have a boxers jaw, "solid as a rock to cut".
So they had to cut away the Jaw above the teeth then cut the teeth to get them out. I also didnt know that you have a tunnel through your lower jaw on each side that all your nerves run through. While he was there I asked him to get the top ones out as they didnt server any real purpose.
So now I have no wisdom and am selling pure Ivory to the highest bidder to save for a Flex License for my upcoming mac laptop (why aren't they cross platform?)
Note too; no fillings. Thanks to my dad for giving me fluoride tablets in my morning Milo's (drinking chocolate in New Zealand) when I was a kid. Aren't Dads great.
Consider this paying it forward. I was stuck at the bus stop waiting for my bus which had been delayed. I have a car but it is too low to park in parking buildings (Even if I could afford the daily rate) and my mustang is still in bits
.
So I had a nice surprise when a chick in a blue wagon pulled up and asked me if I wanted a ride (keep the comments to a minimum
. After a few moments of confusion my mind engaged and I took the oportunity for a free ride. Turns out it was a promotion that Skoda is doing in New Zealand to raise the profile of its cars. So I got a ride in a flash wagon (that had comfy bucket seats) and although I couldn't convince her to put her foot down to demonstraight the power of the 6 speed diesel, the ride was good. So cosider this me keeping the Kharma going with a little free advert:
If your in the Auckland CBD and see one apparently you can wave them down too
Well Christmas here went really well with all the rellies coming up. Had a great time.
Drinks, food and good company make christmas what it should be (and the presents always make a nice surprise
)
New Years went well too. I spent it on Waiheke island

and went to a dance party for the count down. I have a picture coming of me dancing with a donkey…..bet you cant wait for that one. But needless to say I wasnt quite so sprite the next day:
With all of that out of the way I have two weeks set aside for two personal projects. One is my mustang. I have to replace the rear quarter plus other panels. I always love getting right away from the computer and working with my hands. Problem is… a beer or two while working in the sun and my hands start to get all messed up with cuts and busted knuckles. I am currently typing with 5 plasters on one hand hahaha.

The other project is the admin section for videmo….made in flex of course. So I will post with my progress there starting next week.
And finally what about the infamous Scrat the chinchilla. Well what better way to say merry christmas than to give a friend. So we got Scrat a cage mate. She currently doesnt have a name but they are getting used to each other and she should be moving in very soon.

Awwwwww aint she cute! and she likes nothing better than curling up in your pocket for a nap.
I hope everyone had a good clean fun break over xmas and everything went well. Looking forward to some of the coming events in 2007.
Well I think they are wise, but who knows. Merry Christmas everyone, I hope the holidays have been good to you. We here in NZ typically take a long break over Christmas to make the most of the stat holidays and summer. So I will be working on the mustang, working on Videmo, and chilling in the bean bag with a few cold ones playing my new Wii !!!! (browsing the web on the Wii and opera is pretty cool).
Anyway onto the 3 wise thoughts:
- Buy good shoes. Not over the top price wise but that $10 pair from the bargin bin wont be good for your feet during the day. Im talking the pair that you wear to work here. The ones you wear everyday. I keep my cheapies for kicking round in.
- Buy a good seat, or get your boss too. This one was one I learnt at Bluespark and all though I mocked it at first, having sat in an average seat the last few weeks my neck was paying the price. You only get one back and neck in this life.
- Lastly continuing on the take care of your body theme of this post, Buy or get your boss to buy a good monitor. One that you can run at a decent res with a high Freq. I have noticed and since found that my eye sight degraded from 2 years of staring at a crappy monitor. I dont know what a good yard stick is to use at a base line but so far I think a 24inch Widecreen dell is the bees' knees.
So armed with these wise words go forth into the world and uhhhh doo stuff, with your feet in check, your neck still straight and eye sight to see where your going.
Peace and Happy new years.
Yep I did it again this year. I grew a mo for movember.

So now I have nasty pictures of me looking dodgy to show people, and movember is over…Well it was for us in NZ yesterday but hey.
P.S. the bottom one isnt me lol
