Although we need to wait for a official plugin, there ist a project called "Gordon" which lets you display flash content at your phone. Have a try. It's worth the recommendation.

Well, I just heard that Adobe's now able to develop a version of flash for the iPhone because of the SDK. But now there seem to be more problems with regard to the license.

(at) Jason. I'm not sure, but I think I have heard something about Java on the iPhone. At the moment it does not have an interpreter. But I think it's going to have one with the firmware update next summer.

The iPhone doesn't have flash for the same reason it doesn't have a java interpreter... Adobe receives pretty substantial royalties for every handset that has flash on it. Sun does too, the J2ME royalties are supposedly a rather substantial part of their bottom line.

For example, Google's Android? Uses Java right? Yes, but not really. Android has a bytecode converter and runs their own in-house VM. No royalties for Sun there!

Here's to hoping that it's the regular version. Not Flash Lite!
