Incase you didnt see this on digg check out the new features of the logitech orbit MP. pretty cool! now lets see someone do face tracking in flash video? Grant Skinner looking in your direction Wink

Heres a screen shot showing a frame from the video. You can have features track your face….they even apear to move in a 3d space which is cool. And i love the avitar feature which places a 3d cartoon style creature instead of you in the output and it animates as you doo eybrows everything. :)

It seems like a cool product. If I hadn’t just bought another web cam, I might have gone for that one. Cheesy effects, but you could probably hack it into some cool stuff.
One thing that bugs me in a more general sense (pet peeve) is when people attribute things to digg like everyone reads digg, and it is the source of something. digg had nothing to do with this other than the fact that someone posted a link to it there. I don’t read digg. I saw the site via engadget, I think.

Lol hey Keith, sorry bro didnt mean to push anyones button. I like digg for finding things exactly like this. Realising it would be posted all over the web the title was probably a bit focused on digg.
Still I really like the idea someone had of doing max headroom hehehe. but as you say Cheeeeesaaaay. But then again I bought a radio controlled hellicopter online just for sh*ts and giggles so im probably thier target market lol.

How is this getting dug? The face tracking has been in the logitech software for ages, it’s not a new feature. It’s also not very good if you have facial hair, glasses or are simply not caucasian (seems to track by colours), uses loads of resources, and the logitech driver crashes my computer if I try to boot windows with the camera plugged in. ho hum.
